Mr. Mak Ka Wing Patrick was awarded the Common Professional Examination Certificate in Laws and the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws by the University of Hong Kong in 1995 and 1998 respectively. In April 2001, he was admitted as a Solicitor of the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administration Region and has since then built up extensive post qualification experience in the fields of litigation and corporate finance. He is also a civil celebrant of marriages in Hong Kong and a China-Appointed Attesting Officer. 

 

Mr. Mak is a Consultant Solicitor of our firm.  He is dedicated in providing corporations and other entities across Hong Kong and China with a platform to cooperate and exchange business opportunities. In 2005, Mr. Mak was appointed the Chairman of the Shandong-HongKong SME Association, the Foreign Legal Adviser of Shandong Provincial International Cooperation Center for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, the Consulting Counsel for Overseas Affairs of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration of Shandong Province, and has become a member of Hongkong-Macao-Taiwan Committee of CPPCC since January 2008. He was also a member of council for the Beijing Economic Weekly.

 

Mr. Mak’s major areas of practice includes civil litigation, insolvency and commercial law. In recent 12 years, he has been focusing on areas such as merger and acquisition by PRC domestic enterprises, corporate finance and initial public offering. By his close connection with a number of large-scale international professional service entities, funds and institutional investors, he is also able to provide his clients (mostly PRC companies) with professional service in those areas of practice.
